Stefano Tore was born in Nuoro. From early childhood he developed a propensity for music that led him to study piano at the age of 9. In 2003 he was admitted to the traditional composition course at the Luigi Cherubini Music Conservatory in Florence where he learned the rudiments of the compositional technique.

In the Tuscan capital he frequents artists of the most disparate art forms that will shape the taste and influence the aesthetics of his music. In December 2007 he made his debut at MAN (Museo d’Arte Provincia di Nuoro) with three string quartets, while in 2009 his show “Teriomorphic Mirrors” was performed at the Specola in Florence. Also in 2009, his music for “Kaligazeri” ballet was staged in London at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. In the English capital he moved to 2010, where he was admitted to the SAE Institute, where he studied among others with Roey Izhaki, and then graduated with honors in Audio Production in 2012. After finishing his studies he continued to work in London as a composer for Jingle and advertising.

In 2015 he recomposed / arranged the music for the institutional video of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino while in 2016 he will be one of the winners of the Creuza de Ma festival, under the direction of Maestro Franco Piersanti. In June 2017 his show “Sur la mer“, is performed at the Teatro Eliseo (Nuoro) and in July of the same year he works on the music of the film “Surbiles” by the director Giovanni Columbu. In January 2019 the national public broadcasting company of Italy RAI commissioned the original music for a Radio drama about the antifascist partisan Giaime Pintor.

He is also an active member of the theater company “Orientale Sarda”, which he is responsible for the music of the shows. He is currently back in Sardinia, where he lives and composes.
